Cosy knits and Winter coats
Amanda Williams
The loft was raided this week for ‘The Winter Wardrobe’. As I packed up my linens, shorts and floaty summer dresses into bags biding farewell to Summer 2019, I couldn’t wait to unpack my woollens, corduroys and coats and relish cosy days ahead. “Well Hello Winter, it’s good to see you!’
The last few years have meant that the woollens took a bit of a ‘hot-flush’ related back seat, but (and I say this cautiously), I think this year will be more about layering up, which will make a change from wishing I could stand in the Arctic tundra in tee-shirt and shorts, with a fan, enquiring ‘Is it hot in here, or is it just me…?’
I’m also pleased to say that most of the wardrobe survived the cull and it in good shape for this season (that’ll be because it’s been hardly worn over the last few winters - see above) however, I’m always looking for the perfect addition to bring it all up to date or replacements for beloved pieces which have bitten the dust for one reason or another.
